I use pantyhose and stockings to examine various ways of tearing the material at the knees. Activities such as walking on my knees across the bare floor or pavement, tearing with a sharp object, as well as pulling and pinching, are traced by the textile and become documents of my lustful and aggressive acts.
Substituting my body with a wooden panel, the activity of tearing the substrate with a needle entered the drawing tradition, disclosing the grid structure of the material while still maintaining its culturally feminine qualities.
